A Coin. A dream. A future in the making.
Sometimes, change begins with something very small, a single coin, a simple act, a hopeful intention.
During an outreach program for an indigenous community in Antipolo, GAWI (Guided Actions With Intention) shared Little House of Dreams coin banks with the scholars of Soroptimist Antipolo — ATE (Access to Education) and YES (Youth for Excellence in Sampaguita). What seemed like a humble gift carried a deeper purpose: to introduce the value of saving, to encourage mindful planning, and to remind each child that their future is something they can slowly and intentionally build.
Saving is more than keeping coins. It is about patience. Discipline. Hope. It is about believing that small, consistent actions today can shape a brighter tomorrow.
Through this simple gesture, we hoped to plant a seed; the understanding that dreams do not happen overnight. They grow through care, effort, and belief. Every coin placed inside their Little House of Dreams represents a step forward, a quiet promise to themselves, and a vision of who they can become.
In communities where resources may be limited, hope becomes even more powerful. When a child learns to imagine a future, to prepare for it, and to believe it is possible, something beautiful begins to unfold — confidence, purpose, and resilience.
At GAWI, we believe that meaningful change does not always come from grand gestures. Sometimes, it begins with small guided actions, done with love and intention.
Because when a child learns to believe in tomorrow, hope grows.
